IP PhonesCCNP Voice (Cisco Certified Network Professional Voice), formerly known as CCVP validates advance knowledge and skills required to integrate into underlying network architectures. Furthermore, this certification validates a robust set of skills in implementing, operating, configuring, and troubleshooting a converged IP network.
With a CCNP Voice certification, a network professional can help create a telephony solution that is transparent, scalable, and manageable. The CCNP Voice curriculum focuses on Cisco Unified Communications Manager (formerly Unified CallManager), Unified Communication Applications, gateways, gatekeepers, IP phones, voice applications, and utilities on Cisco routers and Cisco Catalyst switches.

Curriculum

Cisco Voice over IP (CVOICE) 3 weeks

Students will gain important knowledge and skills of the foundational elements of VOIP calls, and the description of dial plans, and the implementation of gateways, gatekeepers and IP-IP gateways.
Cisco Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Manager Part 1 (CIPT1) 2.5 weeks

Students will gain important knowledge and skills of deploying a Cisco Unified Communications Manager to support single site and centralized call processing models.
Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Manager Part 2 (CIPT2) 2.5 weeks

Students will gain important knowledge and skills of deploying a Cisco Unified Communications Manager in a multi-site deployment model.
Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications (TVOICE) 2.5 weeks
17.5 hours
Students will gain important knowledge and skills necessary to troubleshoot Enterprise CallManager, Unity, and IP network deployments. The exam addresses hands-on experience in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting Unified Communications solutions.
Integrating Cisco Unified Communications Applications (CAPPS) 2.5 weeks

Students will gain important knowledge and skills necessary to integrate the new unified communications applications such as Cisco Unified Presence, Cisco Unity Express, and Cisco Unity Connection. It describes voice messaging deployment scenarios, Cisco Unified Presence features, and troubleshooting mechanisms as well as Cisco Unified Presence and Cisco Unified Personal Communicator integration options with Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

Prerequisites

High School Diploma/ GED, and completion of the CCNA Voice certification or prior completion of CCNA Voice course.

Occupational Objectives

Upon completion of the course, students will be qualified to be a voice over IP professional.
